Difficult Emotions

A look back, a look ahead

As we are wrapping up 2019, there’s lots to celebrate.

Right off the top, I should mention that we have a 12 Days of Christmas campaign that invites you to receive a short note in your inbox each day for 12 days, prompting and encouraging you to think about emotional intelligence over the holidays. If you know people who might enjoy this free 12-day “Christmas challenge,” please share it with them.

Also, congratulations to all of our Change Leaders in 2019. And congratulations to our recent Change Leader, Jamelle Lindo. He’s a coach, trainer and speaker with over a decade of professional experience in learning and development as well as leadership, and he’s certified to use the EQ-i 2.0. He has coached, trained and spoken to thousands of business leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs across Canada through conferences, corporate workshops and coaching sessions.

This year our Heart and Science of Leadership for Women course really took off. We had the most courses and the most enrolments. And in 2020 we have more in-house leadership courses booked than ever before. We love that organizations are seeing the potential for this course.

Something relatively new that we started doing this year was EQ for Breakfast. These breakfasts were really engaging and we had a lot of fun doing them. We don’t have any new dates for 2020 yet, but stand by, because we’re pretty sure this is going to happen again.

This year our refresher courses for our certification alumni really took the next step, and we had an increase in the alumni that took these refreshers.

Looking ahead, on January 10 we have our first free webinar of 2020 where we will look at emotional intelligence and innovation, the fourth dimension of the EQ-i 2.0 Transformational Leadership Model. Register now to save the date.

Most importantly I want to thank all of the people, organizations, and team members who have partnered with us in 2019. We do what we do because we believe in a world with more emotional intelligence. And this year we have had the privilege to meet, and be helped by, so many more people that share our vision.

On behalf of the EITC Team, I would like to wish you all a happy and festive holiday season with your friends and families. See you in 2020!
